Hello Beautiful

Once upon a time, I saw these beautiful RED suede boots by Alice+Olivia for Payless online and drooled. OH. MY. GOSH. I think they're absolutely gorgeous!! I've never had a pair of such brightly colored boots, but these are just screaming at me, "Come buy meee! You know you want meee!" I am listening...I would love to add these beauties to my collection, wouldn't you? To say "I like 'em," is an understatement. They are just beautiful.

I've had quite the week so far. Got chewed out by my mother yesterday because lately, I've been waiting to the last possible minute to do homework. Ugh. I've been meaning to do better, so her lecturing me was more like an "I told you" fest. It was kinda painful. I shall be better, though. I have an assignment due next month and it's almost finished, I'm turning in my lab reports the day I finish them, and I've been trying my best to stay focused when studying. See, Mom? I'm not that bad of a student.

After school, going to hang out with friends later...what to wear? Which reminds me of outfit posts. I'll get around to 'em one of these days. :]

Anna Sui for Target-My favorites

I can't even tell you how EXCITED I am for this collection. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Gossip Girl...I kinda think it's stupid, but what the heck, what a fabulous idea to design a collection based on the characters of your favorite show! Anna Sui is amazing. She's one of my favorite designers. She's so creative and cool. I love how her models are smiling (most of the time) on the runway. I think this blue dress is my favorite. I mean, I just have to have it. It's one of those things, guys. It's pretty pricey for me, though, personally.

This white, lacey dress is positively gorgeous! Don't you just love the ribbon bow? It's beautiful. *wipes tear* I'm trying to visualized how I would wear it. Would black tights be weird-looking? What about pink tights? Or maybe white leggings and brown boots? Hmm.

Ahhh! Such an adorable little dress. I don't own a little black dress and it's pretty annoying. Every girl NEEDS, repeat NEEDS, a LBD. Even if it's pretty casual like this one here. I can see this with my black leggings and some black booties I plan to purchase in the near future. Cute, right?

I'm Halle

Hola, Salut, Shalom, and Helloooo.
I am incredibly in love with fashion and for months, I've been inspired by all the beautiful blogs in the fashion-blogosphere. Finally, I was inspired to start one of my own. Vintage Nerd. I love vintage stuffage and I'm a nerd, so I thought that would be a good title, eh? Just kidding, mostly. I'm a nerd for vintage. I've done vintage pretty much my whole life, thanks to being apart of a one-income family. But I've learned to love it and I've attempted to create my own style.
Anyway. About myself, because I'm sure you're wondering. My name is Halle. Pronounced just like Halle Berry's. No, I wasn't named after her, even though she is one freaking beautiful person. I like beautiful people. You're beautiful? We'll get along just fine. Not beautiful? Yes, you are.
I'm 17 and a senior in high school. It pretty much rocks so far. I live in a country, in a state, in a city that's never been known for it's sophistication and high fashion. My family and friends are here, though, so it's not all bad. I like hanging out with friends, going to parties, movies, you name it. I text like I breathe and I love shopping. I'm a pretty normal teenage girl.
My style is still evolving. I wish I had a signiture style other than, "She always looks good." I love feminine pieces, vintage blazers, skirts and dresses, and especially accessories. I'll be sure to post some of my favorite outfits in the near future. My closet is my friend, and I can't ever say "I have nothing to wear." I always find something. My problem is I'd like to be more creative with what I wear, but it's hard when people around you just don't care. They are days when even I don't care! They've sucked me in...get me outta here!!
So this blog shall consist of my rants about fashion, art, beauty, outfit posts, inspiration, and my life. I really do hope you enjoy and let me know what you think. I love meeting new people.
